How I edit audiobook audio to ensure it gets accepted by ACX using Adobe Audition. The techniques outlined below also give you the tools you need to master audio for any other audiobook platform and DAW software.
ACX Submission Requirements
In order for your audiobook to be accepted by ACX, you first need to understand, and meet, the ACX submission requirements.
Technique #1: Single-band Compressor
My preferred, albeit more manual, technique uses a single-band compressor tool… and I iterate through compression and normalization until my audio meets the ACX requirements.
Technique #2: Hard Limiter
A second technique I use involves a hard limiter tool. This method is more automated and faster, but also a more harsh edit of your audio.
